The college was shifted to its present location in 1982 and commissioned as PNS JAUHAR as an independent unit of Pakistan Navy. It became a constituent college of National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in November 1995.
The primary role of PN Engineering College is to produce Quality Engineers for Pakistan Navy and NUST.
