Army Public School and College (Pakistan):
The Army Public School and College (APSAC) is an educational institution with branches located throughout all four provinces of Pakistan.
History:
Created mainly for the purposes of educating the children of Army personnel, the branches of this school are located in cities where you can find an Army Base. These Private schools charge somewhere between Rs. 700.00- 1000.00 per student per month depending on what part of the country they are in. As the school is governed by the Pakistani Army, a strong emphasis is placed on discipline and respect towards teachers and upperclassmen.
Uniform:
Depending on the branch, the school uniform changes. However, APSAC is synonymous with charcoal grey slacks, black oxford-style shoes and a navy blazer. The shirt and tie colors for boys change between branches. Some schools require a white dress shirt while others a light blue one. The ties can also change based on the school's preference between a yellow, navy and burgundy striped tie or a solid grey tie or even a yellow, navy and grey striped one. For girls, black mary-janes white pants is common. The shirt and scarf are subject to change. Depending on the branch they may be light blue or white. Boys must wear their hair short and girls must tie their hair away from their faces. Each school has its own logo and motto and is portrayed on a badge for all students to wear. No loud jewelry or accessories are allowed. Socks and stockings may only be black.
Morning assembly is used to check for compliance with the school's uniform policies. Non-compliance with the school's uniform regulations is unacceptable and is considered a punishable offense.
