The University of Education (UE) is Pakistan's first specialized university in the field of education. It was established on September 10, 2002 in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.

Vision and mission

To prepare dynamic leaders and practitioners in teaching, research and management having content excellence, pedagogical competence, commitment and integrity who may ensure quality and sustainable development at all tiers and sectors of education. The UE mission is to:

Township campus, Lahore
The campus was established by the Government of Pakistan as the Government College of Education for Science in 1979 on the recommendation of UNESCO to overcome the acute shortage of science teachers in the province of the Punjab. It began its academic activities with a three-year B.S. Ed. programme based on a higher secondary school certificate. The campus has highly qualified faculty, well-equipped laboratories, computer centres and a vast collection of science manipulative.

Location
University of Education has around 11 campuses all around Punjab. The main campus is situated at a centralized location in Lahore. The Division of Science & Technology is located on College Road, Township, Lahore. This is at a 3 minutes drive from the popular Akbar Chowk. The main gate is on the College Road.
