Tag your friends on your thread

A brand new feature has been added on UrduWorld. Using this feature you can do two things.

1. When posting a thread or making a reply to existing thread, you can mention a friend/urdu world user and the user you will mention in your thread will be notified. It is simple. All you need to do is click on and between MENTION code type exact ID of your friend you like to be mention, add only one ID in each code, if you like to mention more than one users add more than one codes. for example; @Ankaboot:

2. In addition to mentioning your friends in thread you can also tag your friends very easily. Now at the top of each thread you see a button to Add Tag, simply click on that button and add user names you want to tag for that specific thread. This way your friends will come to know about your thread and receive a notification and will read/reply to your threads, or read the thread you like.

Not only that your friends get notified if they are mentioned or tagged in any thread, they as well as their friends will also able to track all threads or posts they are mentioned or tagged by visiting their profile and checking Mention or Tagged tab

This new tagging system is pretty cool.

The "@Basit: Will become a link to the Basit users profile, it will also inform Basit he had been mentioned, and link to the relevant thread/post via a new area in the profile section, as well as a new tab in the shoutbox.

It also allows members to tag the thread for specific other members by inputting their usernames in the tag box above the posts of the thread.


Feature Lite:

Statistics Page: Display which users are the most active, both at tagging and being tagged. Same with mentions. This is a great way to encourage your members to utilise the feature and increase activity!
Post Previews: See the context of the post you were mentioned in!
BBCode Integration: A button for mentioning has been added to the BBCode toolbar Users no longer need to remember the @; command.
@user Mention: Type @username: in a post to mention a user. This not only links to the users profile, but it also sends a notification to that user that they have been mentioned, and should check out the thread to see what is being said about them!
User Tagging: Hit Tag Users to recommend the thread to people without mentioning them in your post. A great way to make sure people don't miss threads that would be suitable for them!
Tagged list: a list of users tagged in the thread great way for people to check who might have similar interests to them.
New @tag tab in profile: A tab showing both incoming and outgoing tags/mentions from the user.
vBShout Integration: New shoutbox tab notifying user of any incoming tags or mentions.
More Stat page options: Lets you set how many users are displayed in the stats for tags/mentions
New User CP options: Let users only accept tags and/or mentions from their friends
Tag my Friends: A button to Tag the thread for all the users on your vB Friends list.
Turn Tag List On/Off: Ability to turn off the tag list in threads if you don't want to show who has been tagged.
