My Favorite Islamic book:
My Favourite Book Is Quran.
Qur'an :
Translation of the Meanings of the Noble Qur'an in the English Language by Dr. Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din Al-Hilali and Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan.



This Qur'an contains both the original Arabic and the English translation of each verse along with related authentic ahadith
Hadith :
These books contain the most authentic ahadith.
Unlike some other ahadith books, you don't have to worry about where the hadith came from and whether it is weak or not. These are the most authentic ahadith. All of these hadith books contain both English and Arabic (with the vowel marks), so you can also see the ahadith in their original Arabic form. This is good because sometimes you can loose some of the meaning in the translation from Arabic to English. Also, you can learn some Arabic by studying the Arabic and the English translation of each hadith.



Sahih Al-Bukhari:This is the most authentic collection of ahadith. It is the work of Imam Bukhari who before writing any hadith in this book performed two Rakat prayer of guidance from Allah. Only when he was sure of a hadith's authenticity, he wrote it in the book. Imam Bukhari recorded all the Sayings of the Prophet which he found to be genuine after thorough examination and scrutiny. Spending sixteen years researching and examing more than 60,000 hadith, he selected only sayings whose genuineness and accuracy he established beyond the slightest doubt. Dar-us-Salam has taken great efforts to eliminate errors, common in translations by other translators.
Sahih Muslim:This is the most authentic book of hadith after Sahih Al-Bukhari. The Muslim scholars have agreed that all of the ahadith in Sahih Muslim are authentic.

THE BOOK

A Room without Books is Like a Body without a Soul - Cicero

Introduction:

The Quran is the unique book, unlike any other book in the whole world. The Quran is not a book on "religion" in the sense this word is generally understood. That is why when a reader approaches the Quran with the common notions of a book in mind, he is puzzled by its style and manner of presentation. The revelation of the Quran continued for twenty-three years. The different portions of the Quran were revealed according to the requirements of the various phases of Islam. It is thus obvious that such a book cannot have the kind of uniformity of style which is followed in formal books on religion and the like.


I remember, Holy Quran was the first book I recited. Its a religious book revealed on Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be upon Him) from Allah Almighty through Jibrael e Ameen.

Historical events are presented, yet not as they would be in traditional history books. The problems of philosophy and metaphysics are treated in a manner different from that of the textbooks on these subjects. Man and the universe are mentioned in a language different from that of the natural sciences. Likewise it follows its own method of solving cultural, political, social and economic problems and deals with the principles and injunctions of law in a manner quite distinct from that of the sociologists, lawyers and jurists. Morality is taught in a way that has no parallel in the whole literature on the subject.


The last verse was revealed at Hajja tul Wida. The verse is quoted below:
This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. [Surah Al Maaida-5]-[Holy Quran]

The Divine Guidance:

The SUBJECT it deals with is MAN: it discusses those aspects of his life that lead either to his real success or to his failure. The CENTRAL THEME that runs throughout the Quran is the exposition of the Reality and the invitation to the Right Way based upon it. It declares that this Reality is the same one that was revealed by Allah (SWT) Himself to Adam at the time of his appointment as His representative, and to all the Messengers after him. The AIM and OBJECT of the revelations is to invite man to that Right Way and to present clearly the Guidance which he has lost because of his negligence, or has perverted by his wickedness. If the reader keeps these three basic things in mind, he will find that in this Book there is no incongruity in style, no gap in continuity, and no lack of interconnection between its various topics.

Holy Quran is the book in which Allah told us about the five Pillars of Islam:

1. Tawheed
   
2. Namaz (Prayer)
   
3. Roza (Fast)
   
4. Zakat
   
5. Hajj.

It is the word of Allah Almight, Revealed in Ramazan.

The Style:

The revelation of the Quran continued for twenty-three years. The different portions of the Quran were revealed according to the requirements of the various phases of Islam. It is thus obvious that such a book cannot have the kind of uniformity of style which is followed in formal books on religion and the like. It should also be kept in mind that the various portions of the Quran, both long and short, were not meant to be published in the form of pamphlets at the time of their revelation, but were to be delivered as addresses and promulgated as such. They could not therefore, be in the style of the written word. Moreover, these addresses were necessarily of a different nature from that of the lectures of a professor. The Prophet (s) was entrusted with a special mission and had to appeal both to the emotions and to the intellect; he had to deal with people of different mentalities, cope with different situations and various sets of experiences during the course of his mission. He also has to train and reform his followers and to imbue them with spirit and courage, to refute the arguments of opponents and to expose their moral weaknesses

At several places, the Quran speaks of itself as a Book. For example, in Surah Muzammil, an early Makki revelation, Allah (SWT) says to the Prophet (s), ".... recite the Quran in order .... " (LXXIII: 4). This also shows that the Quran was meant to be a book from the beginning of the revelation and a book must follow some order.

The Holy Qur'an says that no man will be able to forge even a part of it and that no corruption shall touch it from any side. It is a miracle that the Holy Qur'an has remained unchanged and unaltered during all these 1400 years and it shall remain so till the Day of Resurrection, for Allah, has taken it on Himself to protect it. By saying:

We revealed the Quran and well certainly preserve it.

Certainly, the Quran is wonderful in its outward form, and its inner meanings are profound.
