~ For New Users - What is a Forum, a Section, A Thread and A Post~

As-salam-u-Alaikum!

For new users, I would like to share some simple points with them that what is a Forum , a Section and a Sub-Section, a Thread, a Post? And how to use this forum?

Just keep in mind that we are going to read a book and we will look at a very simple example:

A Forum is like a Book - Like any book a Fourm has some name(e.g. IslamIsAbout). In some sections we may have a sub-section related to the topic of that section or forum name.

A Section is Like a chapter of the book - Forum has lot of sections like chapters in a book(Like , members lounge, Quran & Hadith, Pillers of Islam etc in IslamIsAbout Forum)

A Thread is like a Topic of a chapter of the book - Here we can share our posts by clicking on the Top Left of any section. Give a title and type your post, share a good image or attachment if necessary.


A Post is like disscussion/comments about the topic of a chapter - A post is just like a message you want to share with some one on a forum. When we shrare a thread,as mentioned above, it becomes like a chapter of a section. So, each member can share his/her own thread related to the section and can reply of a posted thread by clicking on " QUOTE " of any specific post of any member of click on "POST REPLY" and then click on SUBMIT REPLY.
