Grand Hyatt Islamabad

The Grand Hyatt is located at the southern end of the Constitution Avenue currently under construction in Islamabad on a 13.5-acre (5.5 ha) site and is served by two major highways (Sharah-e-Kashmir to the north and Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Highway to the south).
This development consists of a 45-storey hotel and serviced apartments tower along with two smaller 20-storied residential & office towers[1]. The smaller towers are linked together by means of a bridge at the 20th floor, aligned with the axis of the Constitution Avenue. Other features include retail and food courts, banquet facilities and parking.
Construction was suspended due to a court case, it has however started again as of December 2010.

Islamabad Stock Exchange Tower

The Islamabad Stock Exchange Towers (also known as ISE Towers) are one of the highrises located on the Jinnah Avenue of the Blue Area business district of Islamabad. The airline Airblue has its head office on the 12th floor. The head offices of the oil and gas exploration company OMV Pakistan occupies 15th though 19th floor of the building.

Design and Construction

The Islamabad Stock Exchange Towers were designed by Nespak and the contractors were Habib Rafiq Pvt. The construction started in early 2006 and the towers were completed in April 2009.
The Islamabad Stock Exchange Tower is a 19 floor building located at (plot no 3035) Jinnah Avenue Blue Area Islamabad which makes it the second highest tower of Islamabad. Area covered by the building is 562,629 sq ft (52,269.9 m2), it consists of three levels of basements and ground plus 18 floors above. Basements have capacity to accommodate three hundred cars at a time. The ground floor has been allocated for banks. Each floor is provided with (6 No) passenger lifts, accompanied by one cargo lift. Unlike most buildings in the city, a fire suppression system was included as part of the design of the building. It is also the first building in Islamabad to have an LCD screen attached on it.

Inauguration and Current Status

ISE Towers were inaugurated by Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on July 31st 2009. This will be the first stock exchange in Pakistan which will not have a trading floor. All trade will be done utilizing a modern electronic trading platform. The building is the second highest highrise in the capital after the under construction Telecom Tower.

Telecom Tower Islamabad

Telecom Tower Islamabad is a 113-metre-high office building under construction as of 2011 in Islamabad, Pakistan. The building, scheduled to be completed by 2011, is located in the Blue Area of Islamabad. It is being built by Pakistan Telecommunication Trust.
The building will consist of 24 floors plus four basement levels and will include a parking facility for 400 cars. It was designed by Nespak, which is also supervising the construction work

The Centaurus (building)

The Centaurus is a mixed-use development project currently under construction in Islamabad, Pakistan. The project involves over 6.6 acres (27,000 m2) of land in Islamabad's arterial corridor, called Blue Area.


The complex is designed by Atkins, whose portfolio includes the Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai, and the Bahrain World Trade Center in Bahrain. It is a project of the Pak Gulf Construction (Pvt) Ltd (PGCL) in Islamabad. Pak Gulf construction company is a joint venture between Al Tamimi (Saudi Arabia) and Sardar Builders (Pakistan).


Besides serving residential, commercial, and business purposes, the complex is intended to symbolize the growth of Pakistan, and to enable it to host international conferences and seminars in Pakistan's capital city.


The $350 million complex is planned to have a 41-story, 7 star deluxe 350 hotel rooms, with two 21-story residential towers, a 25-story corporate office tower, and a 5-story shopping mall, which will cover an area of 300,000 sq ft (28,000 m2), the mall will have a twin screen cinema and a food court. The complex will have a parking lot to accommodate over 2,000 vehicles. It is designed to withstand up to 9.5 magnitude earthquakes


A report by Dawn Newspaper suggests that the project faces an uncertain future as its management and the Islambad Capital Development Authority have developed differences over provision of utility services, resulting in withholding of payment. Other disputes include construction of a flyover near the building that has had an impact on certain designs of the project.

World Trade Center, Islamabad

Commercial chattels in Pakistan is being endorsed by more international real estate developers then ever recorded in previous real estate history. One such extravaganza is the World Trade Center Islamabad. It is one of its kind and is being developed by the renowned Al Ghurair Giga Pakistan (Pvt.) Limited. The concept of a World Trade Center in Pakistan was promoted by the Vice Chairman of the Group Haji Rafiq Giga.
Al Ghurair Giga is the official licensee of World Trade Centers Association New York, for Islamabad .The World Trade Center Islamabad will be amongst 326 WTCs operating in about 100 countries, with 750,000 affiliations.
The ground breaking ceremony and launching of the World Trade Center Islamabad was done on March 2007.
The World Trade Center Islamabad was designed by the Malaysian architectural firm, Hijjas Kasturi Associates SDN. The adjacent hotel was designed by Nihon Sekkei of Japan. The World Trade Center is coming up with a dynamic trading, shopping, dining and hotel space which is characterized by a boulevard-style caf? culture.


Location

The World Trade Center-Islamabad is located in the heart of Defence Housing Authority Phase-II. It is facing the G.T. Road and is situated in the midst of a 330 kanal long commercial strip which will be completely developed by AL Ghurair Giga Pakistan (PVt.) Limited.
The World Trade Center, Islamabad is approximately 13 kilometers from the central business district.
