Relationship Between a Teacher and Student
The best teachers teach from the heart, not from the book.
The need of the hour is a good , healthy relationship between a teacher and a student....The teachers are a guide to students and the students are the future of any nation and honour for their family. The word "Teacher" carries a big responsibility with their name in giving the right education in the right way..and the word "Student" carries another big responsibility of making a good career and grooming themselves towards right direction for themselves, their family and nation.
Now a days teacher-student relation is bad or education has lost is value etc..I don't agree much on that as that has happened all the time. I still see some great teachers and students around. It's all about desire, the desire to learn, the desire to teach. Sometimes and in some institutions teachers have not done their job the right way and similarly students have not done their part well. It depends a lot on the educational institution too, like the atmosphere given, the salary for teachers, their qualification, their character, their dedication etc. A good teacher is the one with dedication towards their profession, honest, sincere , also they should be loving towards the students . "When love and skill work together, expect a masterpiece, which is very true in case of teacher and students relationship. I think there is a lot of responsibility on teachers as they are the one who provide an environment to students. Students will give up their bad habits today or tomorrow, if they find a great teacher who not only helps them, but understands them and creates a great platform for them. The teacher should know when to be strict and when to be friendly with students."Teachers who inspire realize there will always be rocks in the road ahead of us. They will be stumbling blocks or stepping stones; it all depends on how one uses them ".
Communication and positive approach is another key factor in maintaining a healthy relationship between them, in this way there is always great results and scope for good education. Discipline, patience and respect for each other and friendly approach are the other factors missing . Having these qualities both by teachers and students can do wonders to their relation. For students the parents also have to play an important role in teaching good morals and values in them, as rightly said education starts from home.
I believe teachers should be respected like parents and students should also be given a friendly atmosphere and affection they need. A Balance on the above mentioned things is essential as individually neither the teacher can create a healthy learning atmosphere nor students. Everything is like a two way traffic and affected by many factors, one cannot just blame one side. If both student and teacher realize the role and responsibility they carry with their name, they will simply do great.
"I never teach my pupils. I only attempt to provide the conditions in which they can learn. ".... I strongly agree to this. A teacher who is attempting to teach without inspiring the pupil with a desire to learn is hammering on cold iron. Being a teacher does not mean power only, but an authority, a responsibility to show students the right direction, guide them and create an atmosphere where they are willing to learn. They need to earn respect with their wonderful ways. I like a teacher who gives you something to take home to think about besides homework.
"Teaching is the only profession that teaches all the other professions"I think the government of any place should help in grooming great teachers as they lay a great foundation for students. Teachers should be encouraged and given good benefits and on the other had students should also be provided with excellent resources and standards. Students should be happy and enthusiastic in coming to school or college, they should be willing to do great in their field of education.
Today every place needs excellent teachers and students. Providing the right way of education can make great citizens, a great nation and a great atmosphere. Hence the better the bond between a student and teacher , excellent is the result. It is all about unconditional love and respect for each other. The relationship between a student and teacher is the most important thing, this relation needs to be taken care as any relation in life. One should realize it's importance and keep this a blessed one.

Hmmm I agree with each and every word of yours it does take a right mixture of 2 most important roles the teacher and the student to create wonders. Both need to have a deep understanding of their responsibility and of each other to make things work.

Yes I do believe that both play equally important roles. I would like to add a point that the responsibility of one is the right of other and vice-versa! It is the responsibility of teacher to teach "accurately", which at the same time, is the right of the student. And in return a teacher may look forward to, respect and honour from the student's part, which again, in other words is the responsibility of a student and the right of the tutor. Both have to perform their unique duties with full devotion, in order to get the best of it.
