Shairi to ab bhi karlaita hoon mai

per muqarrar kahnay wali wo mairay sath nahi

pahlay mai khud sai us kai suljhanay kai liyay

apnay misroon ko uljhata tha thoora

ab phir theek sai misray kahlaitata hoon

magar lajawaab kahnay wali wo mairay sath nahi

apni nazmoon ko nam ab nahin dai pata mai

un ko unwann dainay wali wo mairay sath nahin

tasalsul na mujhe mai raha na mairi shairi mai

silsilay mujhe ko dainay wali wo mairay sath nahi

kia ajub dastoor raha taqdeer ka mujhe per

muqaddar sajanay wali wo mairay sath nahi................

doorejadded ka meer hoon sadion ko yad rakhta hon
mai taqqi oo dard ki khaaq hoon
sahib hoon meer takhallus rakhta hoon
