Khwaab jo paaoN talay rond kay jaa'ay ko'ee
uss ki taa'beer ko aaNkhoN meN samayTay ko'ee

pyaar kii jang meN maQtool sipaahee kii du'aa
phool merii bhi lehed per to chaRhaaday ko'ee

baat jo dil se hai niklii woh asar kerti magar
SHart hai dil k sahaare se jo sunlay ko'ee

choT lagtee hai hamaiN dard usay hotaa hai
maaN ke dil jaisi ko'ee cheeZ to laa'ay ko'ee

tere iss SHehr kii KHaamoSH fizaaoN se mujhay
KHauf aataa hai zaraa SHor machaa'ay ko'ee

kyuN haiN saakit yeh hawaa'aiN mujhay maa'loom hai ab
raakh yaadoN ko havaa meN na uRaaday ko'ee

ham ne maidaan-e.muhabbat meN Qadam rakh to liyaa
jang k taur tareeQay to bataaday ko'ee

phool jab tak thay bichhay raah meN to saath thay dost
baat kaaNToN ki chhiRee paas na aa'ay ko'ee

daikh ker jiss ko ho feryaad ka toofaaN barpaa
aisi tasveer kay TukRay hee na joRay ko'ee

ham ne iss dil ke baGheechay ko sajaa'ay rakkhaa
aah per phool se mehmaan na aa'ay ko'ee

dhoop hai talKH bohot zeest k seHraaoN meN
aab do boond hee :Qassim: ko pilaaday ko'ee
