paas baitho ke kuch qaraar aaye
dil e nasaaz mein khumaar aaye

baithay hon uske tassavvur mein yun gum
aise mein bekhud mera yaar aaye

aajkal rehtay hain khafa hamse
hamko ghussay pe jinkay pyar aaye

shauq e deedar ki darkhawast liye
payaam e ishq baar baar aaye

jee mein aata hai tod doon bandhan
jisko na mujpe kabhi pyar aaye

jab bhi karta voh tardeed e jafa
mujhko na uspe aitbaar aaye

berukhi ka gila voh karta rehe
dil pe kuch uske bhi figaar aaye

saji hai bazm e jaan nisaar e shama
keh do ke bas voh jaan nisaar aaye

jab bhi jaan deta koi parwana
toot ke shama ko bhi pyar aaye
