aj aik purani (kuch na-mukamal si) ghazal k sath hazir hua huN, umeed hy aap ko pasand aa'y gi,
ap ki aaraa ka intzar rahy ga...

nazar k samny manzar khuleN to,
kisi surat khuleN, aakhir khuleN to...

hamari rooh tak neeli hui hy,
yahi bateN ager tum par khuleN to...

pata chal ja'ay hast-o-bood kya hy,
tumhari aankh k tewar khuleN to...

ye la-mehdood bhi goya qafas hy,
mery sai'yaad mery par khuleN to...

jo nazreN dil ki kheera kr rahy haiN,
wo pathar haiN, k haiN gohar, khuleN to.

kuch apni samt ka bhi ho ta'aiyun,
nizam-e-shams k mehwar khuleN to...

abhi bahar ki janib khul rahi haiN,
meri aankheN kabhi andar khuleN to...
