Ibtedaa kee intehaa mat poochhiay
Kehdia ik martaba mat poochhiay

Makr ke aur jhooT ke iss daur meN
Kaun hai saadiq bhalaa mat poochhiay

Ishq-e Ahmad yaaN jisay haasil naheiN
Khuld meN kab jaa'ayga mat poochhiay

BuGhz kee banjar zameeN ka paiR woh
Aag bin kaise jalaa mat poochhiay

Fikr jab parwaaz thee kernay lagee
Phir qalam kya likh gaya mat poochhiay

Poochhtay haiN kyuN ghazal maiN ne kahii?
Keh bhi do :Qassim: zaraa mat poochhiay!
