Hayat baqui hai magar, saans lene ki jasarat na rahi
wo chhod chala, ke use ham se mohabbat na rahi

wafa ke dar pe sada usne azmaya ham ko
magar ye haal hua ab unhe fursat na rahi

raahe mohaabat hamein tanha mile kabhi to wo
faquat ek aarzoo ke ab koi chahat na rahi

tamanna dil mein liye quabr mein bhi muntazir
na the waaquf ke deedar ki hasrat na rahi


kabhi jo tum ko mile to use paigham ye dena
janaza uth chuka mera,meri mayyat na rahi
