A poem of Love

For if you ever think of me,
Look at a stars in the soft, moonlit nights
If it breaks from heavens
And falls at your feet,
Know it well that it is a metaphor of my heart,
And if it does not break----
But how is it possible that you cast a glance
And it does not gives away its life,
Forget its existence? If you ever think of me,
Touch softly the gusts of the passing breeze,
And you will find me in the floating fragrance,
Look for me in the rose petals,
You will find my reflection in thedewdrops.
But if you fail to find me,
In the stars, dewdrops and fragrance,
You will find me in your feet,
In the dust covered pathways,
And if you see candle flame,
Know it well that I too,
Like a moth that burns itself am scattered with the ashes,
Cast these ashes in the river my love,
I shall travel to the oceans,
Land on an unseen Islands,
And call your name.
If you ever sail to the oceans,
Do stop at this island too.

In Urdu

Mohabbat ki aik Nazam

Agar kabhi meri yaad aaye
Tho chaand raatho ki narm dil gir roshni mein
Kisi sitaare ko dek lena
Agar woh nakhl-e-Falaq se urr kar tumhaare qadmon mein aa gire tho
Yeh jaan lena, woh isthi'aar tha mere dil ka,
Agar na aaye-----------------
Magar yeh mumkin hii kis tharah hai K tum kisi par nigaah daalo
Tho uss ki deewar-e-jaan na toote
Woh apni hasthi na bhool jaaye!
Agar kabhi meri yaad aaye
Guraiz karthi hawa ki lehro pe haath rakna
Mein khushboo'o mein tumhein miloon ga
Mujhey gulaaboon ki pathiyoo mein thalaash karna
Mein oss qatron k aainoo mein tumhein miloonga
Agar sitaaron mein, oss qatroon mein, khushboo'o mein na paaoo mujh ko
Tho apne qadmon mein dek lena
Mein gard hothi musaafathon mein tumhein miloonga
Kahii pe roshan chiraagh deko tho jaan lena
K har pathangey k saath mein bhi bikar chuka hoon
Tum apne haatho se un pathangoon ki khaak darya mein daal dena
Mein khaak ban kar samandaroon mein safar karoon ga
Kisi na deke hue jazeere pe ruk k tum ko sadaa'ie doon ga
Samandaroon k safar pe niklo tho uss jazeere par bhi utharna
