Ek ik lamha ...........dil peh bhari hay
Sham hay......... aur bay qarari hay

Hijr main.......... ek pal nahin kat'ta
Kis tarah ...........zindagi guzari hay

Bay yaqeeni ki...... ik saleeb peh dil
Jeet kar bhi........ yeh jung hari hay

Kis tarah ....jagmaga rahi hay nazar
Yeh mohabbat ki ....meena kari hay

Door hud e nazar talak... ik khawab
Chandni ka ..............tilsm jari hay

Phailti hay chaman main us ki hansi
Mausam e nau ki ..........abyari hay

Ashk, lafzoon say mo'atabar thihray
Khamshi, aansoo'oon peh bhari hay

Ho ga'ay ba shu'oor .waqt kay sath
Ab tamanna bhi ........ikhtiyari hay

A Khuda! ..ek khawab ka marham
Aankh per .zakhm e yad, kari hay
