Be mehr hawa ne cheen lia
Jab hosh ki kachi dewarain
Tasweeron se azad huin
Jab 'yaad ruttain' be dad huin
Tab mujh peh khula main zinda hun!!!
Phir dil ko dharakna yaad aya!!!

Tab aankhain kuch abaad huin
Jab mujh peh khula main zinda huun...
Ahsas ka bachpan jaag para
Phir jazbay be taqweem huay!!
Phir waqt ne kuch angrhaii li..
Phir soch ki qabar se dhool urhi
Phir piyas ka barzakh bhool gya!
Ik hijr se kia azad huay?
So hijr naye ejaad huay!!
Phir ik nazar siyyad bani
Ik nazar ka taair said hua
Phir ashk main darya qaid hua!!
Phir dharkan main bhonchal paray
Phir ishq ka jogi gallion main...
Taqdeer kay saamp utha laya!!

Phir hosh ka jungle sabz hua
Phir `shoq_e_darinda` jag utha..
Phir zulf ka tewar shaam banay
Us shaam main phir mehtaab charha
Phir hont ki larzish, geet bani..
Phir sans ka naam saba thehra!!
Phir sher,shaur ka wird hua..
Phir zanjeerain,zawer thehrin..
Phir taqreerain inaam huin
Phir khoon se likhay jazbon ki
Kuch tehreerain neelam huin!!
Phir dard "Zulaikhaan"ban baitha..
Phir qurb ka karb jawan hua
Phir mujh pe khula main zinda huun!!!!

Kuch wasl shabain `shab khaiz`huin
Kuch hijr ki nabzain tez huin
Jab qaid ko taza umr mili..
Us qaidi umr k bakhton ne..
Ik shaam_e-sahuur se pooch lia
Mehjuur hi rehna tha...to hamain
wo pichla hijr hi kafi tha!!
Gar qaid hi ja` apnani thi..
Kiun pichlay jaal ko chora tha??
Kis ahed peh pinjra tora tha??
Jab jaal teri qamzori thay...
Siyyad ko kiun badnaam kia??
Ik soch raha huun muddat se..
Kiun mujh pe khula main zinda huun??
KIun dil ko dharakna yaad aya??
