Ye bikhray se gaiso ye aankhon ki lali
qayamat hai teri ye aashufta hali

ye roe hoe bhegi bhegi se aankhain
aur aankhon main ye narm doray ghulabi

shakista shakista ye rang-e-musarrat
chakeda chakeda ye ashk-e-zalali

pareda pareda ye chehray ki rangat
zameda zameda ye rukh ki sajali

lab-e-laal pe murtaish murtaish se
ye kuch simti simti se honton ki lali

ye kuch behki bheki se saffaak nazrain
ye kuch sehmi sehmi se farkhanda hali

ye kuch uljhay uljhay pareshan takhaiul
ye kuch bhatki bhatki se roushan khayali

ye kuch rothay rothay se masoum jazbay
na shokhi na ashway na shereen maqali

meray hasb-e-wada na anay se shayed
hoe teray arman ki paa'emali

bas ab hans de mat kar zada pashayman
k aakhir hon ek shaair laubali
