Tumehein rang rang samet lain
Tumehein dhop dhop nikhar dein
Tumehein harf harf mein soch lein
Tujeh dekhney ka jo shok hou
Tou dayar-e-hijar ki terge ko
Mughgan ki nook se noch lein

Kabhi yaad aao tou iss terha
K dil o nazar mein sama sakoo
Kabhi hed se habse juno barhey
Tou hawas ban ke bikhar sakoo
Kabhi khil sakoo shab-e-wasal mein
Kabhi khun-e-dil mein sanwar sakoo
Sar-e-rahguzar jo kabhi milo
Na thair sakoo, na guzar sakoo

Mera dard phir se ghazal bane
Kabhi gungunao tou iss terha
Mere zakham phir se gulab hon
Kabhi muskuraoo tou iss terha
Meri dharkanein bhi laraz uthein
Kabhi dil dukhaoo tou iss terha

Jo nahi tou phir baree shok se
Sabhi rabtee sabhi zabtee
Kahein dhoop chaoon toore doo

Na shikast-e-dil ka sitam saho
Na suno kisi ka aazab-e-jan
Na kisi se apni khalish kaho
Yunhi kush raho, yunhi kush phiro
Na ujar sakein, na sanwar sakein
Kabhi bhol jao tou iss terha
Na sisak sakein, na bilak sakain
