ishq hota to koi bat bhi thi


jalta phirta hun kyun do-pahron main
jane kya chiz kho gai meri


wahin phirta hun main bhi khak ba-sar
is bhare shahar main hai ek gali


chupta phirta hai ishq duniya se
phailti ja rahi hai ruswai


hamnashin kya kahun k wo kya hai
chor ye bat nind urane lagi


aj to wo bhi kuch khamosh sa tha
main ne bhi us se koi bat na ki


ek dam us k hath chum liye
ye mujhe baithe baithe kya sujhi


tu jo itna udas hai 'Nasir'
tujhe kya ho gaya bata to sahi
