abhi abhi tumhein socha to kuch na yaad ayaa
abhi abhi to ham aik-doosrey sey bicharey they

tumhary baad chaman par jab aik nazar Dali
kali kali main Khizaan ke chiraagh jalate they

tamaam umer wafaa key gunaahgar rahey
ye aur baat key ham aadami to achchey they

shab-e-Khamosh ko tanhai ney zaban dey di
pahar gunjtey they dasht san sanatey they

wo aik baar marey jin ko thaa hayaat sey piyaar
jo zindagi sey guraizaan they roz maratey they

naye Khayaal ab aatey hain dhal ke zahan main
hamarey dil main kabhi khait lah_lahate they

ye iratiqa kaa chalan hai ki har zamane main
puraaney log naye aadami sey daratey they

'Nadeem' jo bhii mulaqat thi adhoori thi
kai aik cheharey key peecheye hazaar cheharey they
