mangay hai mujh say dil tairi sari nishaaniyaan
battain puraniyaan, wohee rattain sohaniyaan

ankhoon mein ghoolti hain nashay ke shararattain
chalaak chandini mein chehakti jawaniyaan

un par tu qarz hain mairay harfoon kay zaiqay
aab jin ko aa gaieen baree battain bananiyaan

aye ishq aa keh phir say koyee tajurba karaain
mein bhoolnay laga hoon puranee kahaaniyaan

woh tairay qehqahay thai kay jaisay hajoom mein
tootain kaliyoon mein khanaktee kamaniyaan

yeh mairay ashq hain kay paharoon mein jis tarhaan
royaain basant rut mein nadi ke rawaniyaan

ik tairay roothnay say fiza hee badal gayee
aab shehar bhar mein phail gaieen bad'gumaniyaan

mangoo dua keh khailtee khiltee rahain sada
shehar ke dulhain, mairee basti ke raniyaaan

mohsin ko kuch tu had e sitam ka suraaagh dai
kab tuk ruqam karoon mein tairi meharbaaniyaan ?
