Wahi chiragh bhujha jis ki loa qayamat thi
Ussi per zurb pari jo shajer purana tha

Mitaa-e-jaan ka badal aik paal ki sershari
Salook khuwab ka ankhoon sey taajrana tha

Hawa ki kaat shagufoon ney jazb ker li thee
Tabhi to lehjha khushboo bhi jarhana tha

Wahi firaq ki batein wahi hikayate wasal
Nayee kitaab ka aik aik werq puraana tha
