Khud apanii aag me.n jalate jigar lahuu karate
tere jamaal kaa paratau nigaah me.n hotaa
kabhii sabaa se kabhii gul se guftaguu karate
tere Khayaal me.n gum hoke ek Gazal kahate
aur us Gazal ko na rusvaa kuu-ba-kuu karate
ham ahal-e-dil ko bahut thaa ye nashshaa-e-Gam bhii
usii sharaab se raushan subuu-subuu karate
ye ehataraam-e-junuu.N hai ki sii liyaa daaman
vagarnaa ek tamaashaa-saa kuu-ba-kuu karate
hame.n yaqii.n hai ki gar tuu qariib bhii hotaa
to duur jaake kahii.n terii justajuu karate
