jisey kar ke dil ko dukh na ho mujhey us gunaah ki talaash hey
meiN dhooNdta hooN wo khizaaN jisey gulshanoN sey pyaar ho
jisey kisi chiragh sey na bey’r ho mujhey us hawa ki talaash hey

mujhey us nagar ki hey justuju jahaN koi bhi chahata nahi lahu
jahaN hiran ko sheir sey dar na ho mujhey us jaga ki talaash hey
yahaN ik lamhey ke parrao meiN merey sarey phool jhulas gaey
ab jahaaN talkhioN ki tappish na ho mujhey us fiza ki talaash hey

bina humsafar ke kab talak koi musafitoN meiN laga rahey
jahaN koi kisi sey juda na ho mujhey us raah ki talaash hey
husn-kadoN ke shor sey meri samaa’ateiN heiN ajnabi
ho jis pukaar meiN mukhlisi mujhey us sada ki talaash hey

mujhey deikh kar jo ik nazar merey sarey dard samajh sakey
jo is qadar ho chaara-gar mujhey us nigaah ki talaash hey
