Hamain tou sheher main koi tery jaisa nahin milta

Ye kis dhund main hum tum aaghaz-e-safar kar baithy
Hamian aankhain nahin milti tumhain chehra nahin milta

Har aik tadbeer apni raigan thehri mohabbat main
Kisi bhi khuwab ko tabeer ka rasta nahin milta

Bhala os k dukhon ki raat ka koi madawa hai
Wo maa jis ko kabhi khoya huwa baccha nahin milta

Zamany ko qareeny se wo apny saath rakhta hai
magar mery leye os ko koi lamha nahin milta

Musafat main dua-e-abar un ka saath daiti hai
Jinhain sehra k daman main koi darya nahin milta

Jahan zulmat ragon main apny panjy gaar daiti hai
Osi tareek rasty per diya jalta nahin milta
