Tere paas aane ko jee chahta hai
Naye zakhm khaanay ko jee chahta hai

Ider aaye shayed woh moj-e-tarannum
Ghazal gungunane ko jee chahta hai

Zamana mera aazmaya hua hai
Tujhe aazmane ko jee chahta hai

Wohi baat reh reh k yaad aa rahi hai
Jise bhool jane ko jee chahta hai

Laboun per mere khelta hai tabassum
Jab aansoo bahane ko jee chahta hai

Kayi martuba dil pe bijli giri hai
Magar muskurane ko jee chahta hai

Rukh-e-zindagi se nikab ulat ker
Hakeekat dikhane ko jee chahta hai.
