Rait uraye garm hawa tu kaisay may barsat likhon

Apni apni tareeki ko loog ujala kehtay hain
Tareeki kay naam likhon tou qomain firqay zaat likhon

Janay ye kaisa dor hai jis may ye jurrat bhi mushkil hai
Din ho tou us ko likhon din, raat agar ho raat likhon

Tere karam say aye alm husan aafreen
Dil ban gya hai dost ki khalwat kabhi kabhi

Josh-e-junoon may dard ki tughyaniyoon kay saath
Ashkoon may dhal gai teri soorat kabhi kabhi

Tere kareeb reh kay bhi dil mutmain na tha
Guzri hai mujh pay ye bhi qayamat kabhi kabhi

Kuch apna hosh tha na tumhara khayal
Youn bhi guzar gai shab-e-furqat kabhi kabhi

Aye dost hum nay tark-e-muhabat kay bawajood
Mehsoos ki hai teri zaroorat kabhi kabhi

Jo dil per chot lagay gi to dil dukhay ga zaroor

Khud apnay ghar main ho koye k sehan-e-gulshan main
Jo habs ho ga fiza main to dam ghutay ga zaroor

Hawa chalay na chalay ye amal muqaddar hay
Chiragh jo bhi jalay ga bujhay ga zaroor

Bujhay chiragh hifazat say taaq main rakh do
K apnay waqt-e-moeyyan pay dil dhalay ga zaroor
