Shab-e-gham k ashkon k siva tere ishq ne mujhe kya dia !
Jis dil mein teri hi chaah thi, usi dil ko tu ne jala dia !

Tu, jo dil ka chain o qaraar tha, tu, jo dillagi ka khumaar tha
Tujhe dil se ham ne mitta dia, tujhe dil se ham ne bhula dia

Wo jo saath mere tha raat din, wo to sirf tera khayaal tha
Usey zehn o dil se nikaal kar gaye maaziyon mein chhupa dia

Har umeed waqt ki gard mein yoon dabi k phir na ubhar saki
Jisey gard-e-waqt na chhu saki usey aansuon ne mitta dia

Na to dil ko ishq ka hai junoo(n), na nazar kisi ki talaash mein
Teri yaad dil se sameitt kar main ne ashk ashk baha dia
