Azaab barha lon agar ijazat ho
ek ore zakham men kha lon agar ijazat ho

tumhare ariz-o-lub ke judaye ke din hen
men jam moun se laga lon agar ijazat ho

tumhara hussan tumhare khial ka chehra
shabahaton men chopa lon agar ijazat ho

tumhen se he mare har khawab-e-shoq ka rishta
ek ore khawab kama lon agar ijazat ho

thaka deya he tumhare firaq ne mujh ko
kahen men khod ko gira lon agar ijazat ho

baraye nam banam-e-shab-e-wisal yahan
shab-e-firaq mana lon agar ijazat ho
