kal chaudvein ki raat thi shab bhar raha charcha tera
kuch ne kaha yeh chand hai kuch ne kaha chehra tera

hum b wahin mujood thay hum se b sab pocha kiye
hum hans diye hum chup rahay manzor tha parda tera

iss shehar mein kis se milein humse tow chootein mehfilein
har shaks tera naam le,har shaks deewana tera

tu bawafa,tu meharban,hum aur tujh se badgumaan?
hum ne tow pocha tha zara,yeh wasaf kiyun thehra tera

koochay ko teray chor kar jogi hi ban jayen magar
jungle teray,parbat teray,basti teri,sehra tera

han han teri surat haseen lakin tu itna b nahi
ik shaks k ishaar se shuhra huwa kiya kiya tera

be dard sun-ni ho tow chal kehta hai kiya achi gazal
aashiq tera,ruswa tera,sha-er tera,*insha* tera
