sabz shaaKhen kabhii aise to nahiin chiiKhatii hain
kaun aayaa hai parindon ko Daraane vaalaa



aariz-e-shaam kii surKhii ne kiyaa faash use
pardaa-e-abr men thaa aag lagaane vaalaa



safar-e-shab kaa taqaazaa hai mere saath raho
dasht pur_haul hai tuufaan hai aane vaalaa



mujh ko dar_pardaa sunaataa rahaa qissaa apanaa
agale vaqton kii hikaayaat sunaane vaalaa



shabanamii ghaas ghane phuul larazatii kirane.n
kaun aayaa hai Khazaanon ko luTaane vaalaa



ab to aaraam karen sochatii aaNkhen merii
raat kaa aaKhirii taaraa bhii hai jaane vaalaa
