Gham ke her ik rang se mujh ko shanasa ker gaya
Woh mera mohsin, mujhe pathhar se heera ker gaya

Ghoorta tha main khalaa mein to saji thein mehfilein
Mera aankhon ko jhapakna, mujh ko tanha ker gaya

Har taraf urnay laga taareek saayun ka ghubaar
Shaam ka jhonka, chamakta sheher maila ker gaya

Chaat li kirnon ne mere jism ki saari mithaas
Main samander tha, woh sooraj mujh ko sehraa ker gaya

Ik lamhe mein bharay bazaar soonay ho gaye
Aik chehraa sab zakhm puraane taazaa ker gaya

Main ussi ke raabte mein jis tarah malboos tha
Yuun woh daaman kheinch ker mujh ko barhana ker gaya

Raat bhar ham roshni ki aas mein jaage 'Adeem'
Aur din aaya to aankhon mein andheraa ker gaya
