ik aaNkh se rotii hai ye, ik aaNkh se haNstii hai ye
jaisii dikhaaii de jise, uskii vahii hai ziNdagii

jo paaye vo khoye use, jo khoye vo roye use
yooN to sabhii ke paas hai kiskii huii hai ziNdagii

har raastaa anjaan-sa, har falsafaa naadaan-sa
sadiyoN puraanii hai magar har din nayii hai ziNdagii

achchhii-bhalii thii door se, jab paas aayii kho gayii
jismeiN na aaye kuchh nazar vo raushanii hai ziNdagii

miTTii hawaa lekar uRhii, ghoomii firii vaapas muRhii
qabroN pe katboN kii tarah likkhii huii hai ziNdagii
