kisi rat mah-o-najuum se mujhe puchhana
kabhi apani chashm purab main mujhe dekhana

isi dil se ho kar guzar gaye kai karavan
ki hijraton ke zab main mujhe dekhana

main na mil sakun bhi to kya hua ke fasana hun
nai dastan naye bab main mujhe dekhana

mere Khar Khar saval main mujhe Dhundna
mere git main mere Khvab main mujhe dekhana

mere ansuon ne bujhai thi meri tashnagi
isi bargzida sahab main mujhe dekhanaa

wohe ik lamha deed tha ke ruka raha
mere roz-o-shab ke hisab main mujhe dekhana

jo tarap tujhe kisi aine main na mil sake
to phir aine ke javab main mujhe dekhana
