naa teraa ruuThna naa miraa manaana nayaa
naa meraa aana naya aur naa teraa jaana nayaa

waqt kat'ta nahin, hai ghamm unko
es liay chaiRaa shaakhisaanah nayaa

jabb ghamoN kaa ghubaar chat'taa hai
lagay gulshan kaa lehlehaana nayaa

shokh-o-chanchall hawaa kii taal naee
aur prindoN kaa chehchehaana nayaa

hamm dikhaatae haiN jab zakhm unko
nahiN unkaa yeh muskuraana nayaa

es a'hadd kii pukaar dooseri hai
ab rah-o-rasm kaa teraanah nayaa

ab riwaayat ki kiya baat kereiN
ham puraanay haiN aur zamaanah nayaa

aaj aqdaar aisay badli haiN
ab sheraafat kaa hai paimaanah nayaa

dil meraa aaj pur sakooN hai bohatt
Tum lagaa dau ikk taaziyaana nayaa

es bheri duniya say bher gaya ab jii
Tahira Dhondo ab Thikaanah nayaa
