Tujhe aalg sey jo sochun toh ajeeb lagta hae

Jisey na hussn sey matlab na ishq sey sar-o-kaar
Woh shakhass mujh ko badnaseeb lagta hae

Haduud-e-zaat se bahir nikal k dekh zarah
Na koi ghair na koi raqeeb lagta hae

Yeh dosti yeh marasim yeh chahtain yeh khalus
Kabi kabi mujhe sab kuch aajeeb lagta hae

Ufaaq pe duor chamakta huwa koi taraah
Mujhe chirag-e-diyaar lagta hae

Najaney Kab koi tufaan aaey ga yaaroo
Buland moojh sey sahil kareeb lagta hae
