Zamane se suna tha ke mohabbat har jati hai,
Jo chahat ek tarfa ho woh chahat har jati hai,

Kahin dua ka ek lafz asar ker jata hai,
Kahin barson ki ibaadat bhi har jati hai,

Mohabbat kab kisi ko dushmani ka darse deti hai,
Mohabbat ki baazi mein adavat har jati hai,

Humein kitne bhi shikwe hon us ki jafahon ke,
Par us ke samne har ek shikayat har jati hai,

Ek arzoo si hai ke us ko bhool jayen hum,
Par us ko yaad aate hi yeh hasrat har jati hai...
