mein muqtal mein bhi qismat ka sakandar nikla...
qura-e-faal mere naam ka aksar nikla...

tha jinhein za-am woh darya bhi mujhe mein doobey...
mein ke sehra nazar aata tha samandar nikla...

mein ne us jaan-e-baharaan ko buhat yaad kiya...
jab koi phool meri shaakh-e-hunar se nikla...

shehar walon ki muhabbat ka mein qail hoon magar...
mein ne jis haath ko chooma wohi khanjar nikla...
