kiyon dherknien hain bujhi bujhi si ?
Phir kiyon aj isko piyas hai ?

Gham –e- tanhai hota to hay roz
Phir aj kiyon dard itna khaas hai ?

Kiyon sansien hain Ruki Ruki si ?
Kiyon aj itna yeh hasaas hai ?


na jee saky na mer saky
kaisi hai ye zindagi !
kaisa ye ahsaas hai ?


askhon k samender kiyon bahaey "Mujeeb" ?
kon day ga dilasa ?
kon us k pass hai ?

jany kiyon aj dil udaas hai ?
na aye ga koi ab!
na kisi ki aas hai !
