Ye kaisi ajabb zindagi ki ghari hai
ke jabb saay ki bhi rafaaqat nahi hai
Koee shakhs un ko nayaa jo milaa to
kahaa k puraanay ki aadat nahi'n hai

Meri aank bojhal na ho garr to kaisay?
koee bojh sehnay ki aadat nahi hai
Koeee aa ke kholay meri bandd aankhai'n
Mujhay abb jagaanay ki aadat nahi hai


Koee khalq ki bandagi jo karay garr
To ye bandagi hai, ibaadat nahi hai
Jo mafhoom poochhay koee abdd kaa to
Kahai'n, ye bataanay ki aadat nahi hai

Safarr ye kathan hai, bataayaa tha un ko
unhai'n saath chalnay mai'n raahat nahi hai
Jo harr pal hamai'n aazmaatay rahay ho'n
Unhai'n aazmaanay ki aadat nahi hai

Wafaa lafzz kehtay rahay umrr bhar jo
Unhai'n ye nibhaanay ki aadat nahi hai
Jo tum khailtay ho to khailo dilo'n se
hamai'n dil lagaanay ki aadat nahi hai

Jo kehtay thay tum ko hai sapno'n mai'n daikha
Woh kehty hai'n khwaabo'n ki aadat nahi hai
Kisi ki hansee yaad aati hai wernaa
Hamai'n muskuraanay ki aadat nahi hai

Jo daikhi woh aankhai'n, qadam un k bojhal
kahai'n hum ko manzil ki chaahat nahi hai
Rahay dasht ke umr bharr jo musaafir
qadam do qadam ki bhi aadat nahi hai

Nayaa shehr harr din, nayaa darr har ik shabb
dagarr poochnay ki bhi haajat nahi hai
Hamai'n gharr milaa bhi to uss waqt Sajid
K jab gharr ko jaanay ki aadat nahi hai
