Hum muskuratay rahay or zakham chilatay rahay,
Dard dabatay aur ansu chupatay rahay,

Aah o fagan ki us nay na fikar ki,
Wo tu apni rah pay he sada chaltay rahay,

Darechay pay rakh k apni umar rafta ki kitab,

Naay tofanoon ko amad ka rasta naya datay rahay,

Na keh k un say dil ki baat,
Hum ek bay naam kalish main mubtila rahay,

Wo tu jan k bi anjan bun gaay,
Hum anjan khush fehmi main mubtila rahay,

Dil k baab band ker rakhay hain,
Kub tak tanha koi chalta rahay?

Sur e sham ab chaman main jata nahi,
Kub tak koi tere rah main bheta rahay?

Wo apni khushi ka qisa batatay rahay,
Hum apni zindagi ujarnay pay khamosh rahay!
