ab hamaaraa makaan kis kaa hai
ham to apane makaan ke the hii nahii

in ko aandhi mein hii bikharanaa thaa
baal-o-par yahaan ke the hii nahii

us galii ne ye sun ke sabr kiyaa
jaane vaale yahaan ke the hii nahii

ho terii Khaak-e-aastaan pe salaam
ham tere aastaan ke the hii nahii
