gumgashtaa mohabbat ke khwaabon ki tarah hai
woh rooh ke sehraa mein saraabon ki tarah hai

woh zeest ke maktab mein nisaabon ki tarah hai
parhta hoon use roz kitaabon ki tarah hai

ab un se khayaalon mein hi ho jaati hein baaten
go beech mein parda sa hijaabon ki tarah hai

us shakhs ke lehje mein sheeshe ki khanak hai
rag rag mein utarta hai sharaabon ki tarah hai

us shakhs ke paikar mein hai shaakhon ki lachak si
us shakhs ka chehraa bhi gulaabon ki tarah hai

jo wasl ki raaton meiN hai ik maah-e-munawwar
furqat mein wohi shakhs azaabon ki tarah hai
