dekho ye dard e hijer bhi kia kaam ker gaya
main khud bhi apne jism k ander bikherr gaya

yaadon ki taiz dhoop main saaya kahin na tha
main aatish ee faraaq main jal ker nikherr gaya

zinda tha meri ankh main muddat se aik khwab
kal raat ittefaq se wo khwaab merr gaya

ab meri chahaton main bhi khushboo nahin rahi
teri wafa se aaj wo rang e aser gaya

tujh se juda hue to kayi saal hogaye
ye zehar meri rooh k ander uterr gaya

chehre pe yun likha tha tamanna ka marsiya
main aaieney main apni hi soorat se derr gaya
