Ek ek patthar jor k main nay jo deevar bana'e hay
Jhanko us k peechay to rusvae hi rusva'e hay

Yon lagta hay sotay jagtay auron ka mohtaj hon main
Aankhen meri apni hain par un main neend para'e hay

Dekh rahay hain sab hairat say neelay neelay pani ko
Pochay kon samandar say tujhe main kitni gehra'e hay

Sab kehtay hain ik jannat utri hay meri dharti par
Main dil main sochon shayad kamzor meri beena'e hay

Bahar sehan main peron par kuch jaltay bujhtay jugnu thay
Hairat hay phir ghar k andar kis nay aag laga'e hay

Aaj hua maloom mujhe is shehar k chand sayanon say
Apni rah badltay rehna sab say bari daana'e hay

Tor gaye paimaan-e-wafa is dour main kaisay kaisay log
Ye mat soch Qateel k bas ik yaar tera harja'e hay
