میرے ہم نفس، میرے ہم نوا، مُجھے دوست بن کے دغا نہ دے
میں ہوں درد عشق سے جاں بلب، مُجھے زندگی کی دُعا نہ دے

میرے داغ دل سے ہے روشنی، اسی روشنی سے ہے زندگی
مُجھے ڈر ہے اے میرے چارہ گر، یہ چراغ تو ہی بُجھا نہ دے

مُجھے چھوڑ دے میرے حال پر، تیرا کیا بھروسہ اے چارہ گر
یہ تیری نوازش مُختصر، میرا درد اور بڑھا نہ دے

میرا عزم اتنا بُلند ہے کہ پرائے شعلوں کا ڈر نہیں
مُجھے خوف آتش گُل سے ہے، یہ کہیں چمن کو جلا نہ دے

وہ اُٹھے ہیں لے کہ قُم و سبو، ارے او شکیل کہاں ہے تو
تیرا جام لینے کو بزم میں، کوئی اور ہاتھ بڑھا نہ دے
