Gali koochon main barg-e-khushk ki soorat bikharna tha
Hawa se dosti ka koi to anjaam hona tha
Janoon ke shehr main lekin humari haar lazim thi
idher ek shaira thi us taraf sara zamana tha
Yeh sari umr kis aashuftagi main raigaan kar di
Ussi ko yaad rakka hai jissy dil se bhulana tha
Ajab wehshat ka aalam hai samajh main kuch nahi ata
Safar ki shab musafir ko kaha khaima lagana tha
Diye jo baam par rakhey they main ne bujh gaye saarey
Issi tareek shab main us ko meray gaaon aana tha
Woh jab ojhal hua to hum bhi apney aap se chonkey
Usseyaawaz dena thi, ussey wapas bulana tha
