Kahin se laut ke hum ladkhadayen hai kya kya
Sitaare zer-e-qadam aayen hain kya kya

Nasheb-e-hasti se afsos hum ubhar na sake
Faraz-e-daar se paighaam aayen hain kya kya

Jab usne haar kar khanjar zameen pe phenk diya
Tamam zakhm-e- jigar muskurayen hain kya kya

Chata jahan se us awaz ka Ghana badal
Wahin se dhoop ne talwe jalaye hain kya kya

Utha ke sar mujhe itna to dekh lene de
Ke qatl gaah mein diwane aaye hain kya kya

Kahin andhere se maanoos ho na jaaye adab
Chirag tez hawa ne bujhaye hain kya kya
