Na tujh pay jafa ka koi ilzaam
Ma maiN apni ulfat pay sharamsaar
Tagaful na peshaymaani na koi shiqayat
Bus zindagi ko dekha apnay apnay andaz say humnay

MaiN ishq ko samjhta hooN zindgi ka muqaddar
Tunay muqaddar ko bus zindagi samjha
MaiN jin zulmatoN pay uthata raha barbat-i-baghaawat
Tunay unhiN aqaayud ko raushani samjha

MaiN banaataa hi rahaa haseeN khwaaboN kay gronday
Mujhko na tha pata ki tera guzar inmaiN kahaaN
Tu to dhooNdti phirti thi ik qafas sandli
Meray tas_svur maiN tha teray liyay ik azaad jahaaN

Main to chaahaa tha ki tum humkadam ho kay chalo
Tumnay virsay maiN magar paya hai aqeedat ka bharam
Meri ulfat to thi baraabar ki dosti
Teri ulfat rahi meri mohtaaj-i-karam

Meri tamanna thi ki tu mujhay "tu" ho kar kay milay
Tunay khudi ko apni magar biknay kay liayay paalaa tha
Meri hasrat ki tu isay apnay ahsaas maiN rakh kar kay jiyay
Toonay parstish kay liyay jisay ab talak saMbhaalaa tha

Na tujh say thi mujhay parstish ki aarzoo
Na kud mujhay tha shauq-i-aqeedat
MaiN tujh maiN dhooNdta phirta tha ik khud_dar mehboob
Aur tumko piyaari thiN apnay purkhoN ki viraasat



Chalna Aahiste Ishq Naya Hai Pehla yeh vada Hum na kiya hai
